CV (Curriculum Vitae)
Born in Sofia into a family of musicians, Snezhina began playing percussion instruments at the age of six. She graduated from the National School of Music “Lyubomir Pipkov” in the percussion class of Maria Palieva, the National Academy of Music “Pancho Vladigerov” in the class of Prof. Dr. Dobri Paliev, and the Academy of Music, Dance and Fine Arts “Prof. Asen Diamandiev” in the class of Prof. Zhivka Licheva.
Throughout her career, she has appeared on the concert stage as an orchestral musician with the Youth Philharmonic “Pioneer”, a member of the Percussion Ensemble “Polyrhythmia”, and as a guest performer with the Würth Philharmoniker in Künzelsau, Germany, the Opera Orchestra in Rijeka, Croatia, the Sofia Philharmonic, and others. In 2012, she fulfilled a long-held dream and became a permanent member of the percussion section of the Bulgarian National Radio Symphony Orchestra.
In 2001, as part of the family music agency “Snezhina 11”, she organized the first meeting in Bulgaria of the European branches of the Percussive Arts Society, accompanied by numerous masterclasses with percussionists from around the world. The success of this major event marked the beginning of her work as a music event organizer.
Her interest in working with children led her to a teaching position at the Anglo-American School of Sofia. She later joined the National School of Music “Lyubomir Pipkov”, where she continues to teach percussion.
Snezhina Bogdanova is a co-founder of the association “Percussion Workshop RHYTHM”, where until September 2025 she served as the main organizer of events for young percussionists.
She is also the author of numerous solo and chamber works for percussion, created as a result of her experience as both a performer and educator.
