CV (Curriculum Vitae)
Born in Sofia, Marina Mindova began her musical training at the age of four. She holds a higher education degree and a Master’s degree in Percussion from the National Academy of Music “Pancho Vladigerov”. Between 1975 and 1996, she worked as a teacher in various arts schools, and since 1981 she has been a faculty member at the National School of Music “Lyubomir Pipkov”.
Throughout her extensive pedagogical career, she has prepared dozens of students for participation in national and international competitions, festivals, masterclasses, and various musical forums. Her students have received numerous awards and laureate titles and have gone on to become professional musicians in leading ensembles and institutions.
For many years, she has served as a percussion coach within the orchestral formations of the National School of Music. Together with the Youth Philharmonic “Sofia”, she has participated in numerous concerts and projects in Bulgaria, Germany, the Czech Republic, France, Italy, Switzerland, and Canada. In addition to performing, she has also served as a jury member in five editions of the “Young Musical Talents” competition in Sofia and in competitions for young classical performers in Pernik.
Marina has contributed to the development of music curricula based on rhythm for the Ministry of Education. She has also been a lecturer in teacher training programs at the Department for Information and In-Service Teacher Training at Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski”.
Her individual distinctions include the “Ambassador of Peace” Diploma, the “Muzillenium” Diploma, an award and plaque from the Ministry of Culture for her contribution to Bulgarian culture, a certificate of recognition from the President of the Republic of Bulgaria for outstanding achievements in supporting young talent, as well as numerous diplomas and certificates for excellence in pedagogy from various institutions and academies.
